What did you learn today?
Today we learned about the signing out, setting up, and editing processes. When we sign out the camera we have to fill out the sheet, bring the sheet to the teacher, then we get the camera, camera bag, ect. The camera is "small but mighty" and takes a while to charge but lasts a long time. To turn the camera on and off you just open/close the flap. For the tripod, we were told to detach the camera and collapse the tripod whenever we go somewhere, like downstairs or across decently far distances.
For editing, we learned the dumping, importing, and exporting procedures. To dump, you have to create a folder that's where you're going to put the footage. Then you put the SD card in the SD card reader and plug that into the computer. The footage should be in the DCIM, if not you have to look in the AVCHD. The AVCHD should display all the footage on the SD card. Put the footage in the folder you made previously. After you've gathered your footage, you have to import your footage into pinnacle studios. Track 1 is where the titles go, track 2 is where the footage goes, and track 3 is where your audio goes. If you want to watch your raw footage or your edited edited footage, either drag the red bar with your mouse, or just hit the play button. If you want to get rid of something you highlight the footage you want to delete then go to the button that looks like a blade, then click it and it should cut.
If you want to do a voice over, you record whatever you want to say, detach the audio, and delete the video. If you want to add titles to your video, click the t, then you type whatever you want the title to be, then hit okay. When you see a green bar that means that something was added. When it's time to save your work you save it like any normal document. You click file and save as, then save it to your folder. If you're completely done with the project, you export it then put it on the MP4 thing or EMPEG then you click the full size thing. If you want to add music or sound effects, you have to go to YouTube and convert it to an MP3 then add it to your video. That's what we learned today. The is the end, I hope you have a good day.
